Overview
Tribe Test Engineer with 8+ years of experience, bringing strong expertise in test strategy, test automation, and Agile ways of working. You collaborate with multiple squads to assess and improve testing practices, define customised roadmaps, coach teams, and ensure quality across Tribe initiatives within a dynamic, multicultural environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multiple squads to assess their current testing practices, tools, and workflows.
- Define and implement a customised testing roadmap for each squad, aligned with Tribe test strategy, best practices, and continuous improvement goals.
- Support squads in the adoption and integration of testing practices and test automation solutions.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate teams on testing methodologies and quality practices.
- Monitor and review each squad’s testing maturity and progress, providing guidance and adjustments where needed.
- Work in close collaboration with Agile and DevOps coaches across the organisation to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
- Contribute to and maintain the existing testing platform, including testing strategy and tooling (unit testing, test automation, service virtualisation, performance testing, and test management).
- Act as Feature Quality Owner for cross-squad and Tribe-level initiatives by defining the test approach, tracking progress, aligning with all stakeholders, and providing clear status reporting.
Must Have Skills
- At least 8 years of experience.
- Master's Degree or equivalent by experience.
- Experience in implementing test strategies and test automation.
- Experience as a Test Automation Engineer (preferable).
- Solid experience working in or with Agile development teams.
- Hands-on experience with Octane, Java programming, Git version control, Cucumber with JUnit, Selenium WebDriver, Page Object Model, and test automation best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach and mentor teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Ability to work within a team and across multiple groups in the organisation, contributing information and solutions.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment.

Fluent in English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus.
- Knowledge of the banking and/or insurance sector is an asset.
