Overview
IT Security Analyst with 8+ years of hands-on experience in the cybersecurity domain, specializing in threat and vulnerability management. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of and experience with Rapid7 security solutions, including InsightVM, InsightAppSec, and InsightCloudSec.
In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation, configuration, and ongoing management of Rapid7 tools to ensure robust vulnerability scanning, effective threat detection, and proactive risk reduction across enterprise systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Configure and integrate Rapid7 with existing systems and data sources.
- Perform testing and validation.
- Identify and prioritize data sources for onboarding into Rapid7.
- Onboard assets, cloud accounts, and web applications into Rapid7 modules (InsightVM, InsightAppSec, InsightCloudSec).
- Perform routine administration tasks, including user management, system monitoring, ad-hoc scanning, asset management, and report management.
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with vendors for support and issue resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of Rapid7 configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in case of security breaches.
Must Have Skills
- At least 8 years of experience.
- Proven experience in IT Security, specifically in a Cybersecurity Analyst role, utilizing security tools and techniques to identify vulnerabilities and enhance security posture.
- Strong knowledge of threat and vulnerability management approaches, techniques, and commonly used tools.
- Ability to lead deployment and management of Rapid7 solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Ability to develop and maintain Rapid7 implementation, enabling comprehensive security monitoring and threat detection capabilities.

Implementation knowledge of Rapid7 InsightAppSec, InsightVM, and InsightCloudSec modules.
- Expertise in schedule scans, report configuration, and scanner deployment for Rapid7.
- Knowledge of APIs and hands-on experience with asset group, tag, and site creation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, security, operations) to align Rapid7 solutions with business objectives.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing supplier relationships.
Nice to have
- Understanding of integration with other security tools and platforms for seamless information sharing and incident response.
- Knowledge of various integrations (e.g., Cisco Kenna, Splunk, SIEM) with Rapid7 tools.
- Expertise in Cisco Kenna fundamentals, including asset management and Risk Meter creation.
